Russian media: Russian lawmakers submit a draft law on "Russia's withdrawal from the WTO" to the State Duma

According to RIA Novosti, on March 21, local time, members of the Russian political party Just Russia submitted a draft law on Russia’s withdrawal from the World Trade Organization to the Russian State Duma (the lower house of the Russian Federal Assembly).

"Russia Today" quoted RIA Novosti as saying that in order to protect the national interests of the Russian Federation and implement a protectionist policy, the draft law proposes to repeal the "Regulation of the Russian Federation's Accession to the Magistrate for the Establishment of the World Trade Organization" signed in Geneva on December 16, 2011. The Protocol to the Larakesh Accord>, and the federal law repealing the Protocol on the ratification of the Russian Federation's accession to the Marrakesh Accord establishing the World Trade Organization, which entered into force on July 21, 2012, as a countermeasure to (the United States and the West ) sanctions response.
